About The Social Enterprise People
Cambridge Co-operative Development Agency (CCDA) was established in 1982 to develop co-operatives in Cambridgeshire. In 2005, we began to trade as The Social Enterprise People to reflect our increased focus on all forms of social business including those that do not also have a co-operative structure.
The Social Enterprise People is run by a voluntary board of directors drawn from local co-operatives, public bodies, businesses and others with interests in social enterprise. The Board is accountable to the membership, which is open to any individual or organisation in the social or co-operative enterprise sector. If you would like to know more about becoming a member or joining the Board, please contact us.
We are a social enterprise: any profits we make are re-invested in supporting social and co-operative enterprises. We produce publicly available annual reports and welcome members to our Annual General Meeting.
